Bell persons make memorable impressions by helping guests during their arrival and departure.
Handle Guest Belongings with Care
Tag, collect and deliver guests’ belongings in an efficient, timely manner. This may involve assisting with vehicle services.
Maintain Appearances
Whether it is keeping the uniform up to company standards or maintaining the lobby area organized, bell persons make the first impression on hotel guests.
Be an Ambassador
Bell persons not only help to guide guests and their belongings to their rooms, but also with information on restaurants and local joints information during their stay.

Front Desk Agent
Front desk agents are the first interaction guests have with the hotel. If you enjoy helping people and making guests feel welcome, a front desk agent role is for you. Here you will help check-in and check-out guests, process payments and special requests, while answering phone calls. The front desk is the communication hub of the hotel, so excellent communication skills are a must.

What’s your typical day like?
Front desk agents excel at fulfilling customers’ needs, reservations and other hotel administrative tasks.
Help Guest Check in and Check Out
Welcome each guest and offer to check them in and out of their rooms. Work with a computer system for all reservation transactions, create room keys and inform the guest of all hotel information.
Monitor the Phones
Answer calls spanning from future guests calling to make reservations, current guests asking for room service, transportation or recommendations, or calls about room rate, hotel amenities or event venues.
Handle Transactions
Front desk agents collect money and handle credit card transactions, calls and transfers. They also make reservations, answer guests’ questions and keep notes or use computer systems to do so.

Cashier
Do you have sharp basic math skills while also enjoying interacting with people? Cashiers work to provide customers with friendly service, while handling transactions at the sales counter. As a cashier, you can work in a variety of environments, including hotel stores, reception or dining establishments.
What’s your typical day like?
Cashiers manage all transactions while helping with set up or administrative duties as needed.
Handle Guest Transactions
Oversee cash, check or credit card transactions and operating the cash register. Cashiers need to have basic math skills to be able to calculate change while working with the register.
Inform Guests
Guests may approach cashiers with questions about services, products or the property. It is important cashiers stay informed and can provide helpful answers with a friendly demeanor.
Support Team Members
Cashiers sometimes help prepare areas for service, set up or stock products or food areas, help maintain their surrounding areas, and may learn skills on top of typical cashier duties.
